We are pleased to announce the second PROFFORMANCE International Higher Education Teacher Award Call, organized by the PROFFORMANCE+ consortium in partner countries: Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Georgia, Hungary, and Serbia. 

This award aims to recognize and celebrate outstanding teaching practices across higher education institutions while fostering collaboration and sharing best practices within the European Higher Education Area. We encourage all eligible educators to apply and contribute to this initiative, which aligns with the priorities of the European Higher Education and Education Area. 

We are seeking teaching practices that include the following activities: 

  1. Implementing innovative learning, teaching, and assessment methods. 
  2. Fostering flexible, student-centred learning and active citizenship. 
  3. Enhancing digital skills for students and educators using technology. 
  4. Integrating AI to improve educational quality and accessibility. 
  5. Supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, 
  6. Promoting international and intercultural competencies. 
  7. Ensuring inclusive education for students with diverse needs.

Eligibility Criteria

The call is open to individuals or groups officially involved in teaching at state-recognized higher education institutions in the PROFFORMANCE+ partner countries. The submitted practices should have been or are being implemented during the academic years 2020/21 to fall term of 2024/25 with proven output and impact.

Application categories

Applicants should choose 1 main category from the list below.

Category 1. Student-centred course design

Category 2. Innovative teaching and learning

Category 3. Students’ learning assessment

Category 4. Impact and mission with and for society

Additionally, applicants should choose one main horizontal priority, while possibly addressing the other 3 categories.

1. Digitalization

2. Internationalization

3. Inclusion and diversity 

4. Sustainability

The application must clearly detail the selected main category and the chosen priority. 

 
 
 
 

Why to apply

The awardees 

  • Will have the opportunity to present their best practices at the final event of the PROFFORMANCE+ project and various international professional forums.
  • Will receive the PROFFORMANCE teaching excellence prize with a certificate and become a member of the PROFFORMANCE professional network. Please note that no financial compensation is provided.
The recognized best practices 
The award ceremony is planned to be organized in 2025 at the final event of the PROFFORMANCE+ project.
